Defination: What Is Compaction of soil To You - (CEC 212)

Check out this, As an engineering student, what can you say or discuss about compaction of a soil?

* COMPACTION OF SOIL : Soil compaction is a process of increasing the density of a soil by packing the particles closer together by reducing the volume of air, however no significant change of volume of water in the soil.

THE PROCEDURE OF LAB COMPACTION

These are the procedure of a Lab compaction

* B.S.L
 - 300g of soil mixed with water
 - Compacted into 1000cm3 cylindrical
 - Mould in 3 layers
 - Recieving 27 blows from 2.5kg rammer filling

* W.A.S
 - Recieving 10 blows from 2.5kg rammer in 5 layers

* B.S.H
 - Recieving 27 blows from 4.5kg rammer in 5 layers

NOTE: The layers and the kg must be studied well...

Next topic is the "Procedure of site compaction"
